Two new ARTISAN mouse skates have arrived at JP Gaming: the MIZUGUMO FUTAE-P6 and the MIZUGUMO RIN-P7. Both join the FUTAE-P8 in our ARTISAN MIZUGUMO skate lineup.
About the MIZUGUMO series
MIZUGUMO (Water Spider) is ARTISAN's mouse skate series, designed with a focus on stable mouse gliding. Made in Japan, the series pairs naturally with ARTISAN cloth mousepads — especially MID base types.
MIZUGUMO FUTAE-P6
The FUTAE-P6 brings the FUTAE design to a 6.4mm dot skate. It features the same "round edge" shape that prevents snagging during glides and the "multi-curve shape" — a slight curve across the entire contact surface — for a consistent gliding feel even under uneven weight distribution.
The smaller diameter makes the FUTAE-P6 the option for mice that can't accommodate the standard 8mm FUTAE-P8. If your mouse fits 8mm skates, ARTISAN recommends the P8 for even greater stability.
MIZUGUMO RIN-P7
The RIN-P7 takes a different approach: a unique donut shape, approximately 7mm in diameter. Pressing down on your mouse gives you a sharper glide start and pronounced stopping power, while the ring shape delivers stronger texture feedback to your hand.
If you want more control and clearer surface feedback from your skates, the RIN-P7 is the one to try.
Before you order
- Both skates are recommended for cloth mousepads, especially MID base types.
- Additional pieces are required when used with SOFT or XSOFT base mousepads.
- Height adjustment (e.g., thin tape underneath) is required for mice with deep skate grooves.
- Use with hard mousepads such as glass or metal is not recommended.
- Compatibility with all mouse models is not guaranteed.
