I own 3 artisan pads, in this order is how I purchased them
- Zero Soft
- Type 99 Mid
- Key83 Mid
On my journey to find my best mousepad I have developed preferences. Unfortunately one was that I prefer firmer pads for consistency. So I regret getting the Zero in soft because I can't evaluate if it's a good pad for me or not, the soft is also a bit scratchy on some of my dot skates making certain mice of mine unusable. If I could go back I'd get the mid variant.
I am a moderate to fast sens player with finger dominant aim, so micros are important to me, I felt like static friction was too high on the Type 99, which caused me to get a faster pad so I have less initial friction. I came from maining a glass pad for 1.5 years before getting my first Artisan pad and I immediately performed better, however type 99 is the extreme opposite end of that spectrum and I definitely belong somewhere towards the middle, between a Raiden & Zero Mid. The Type-99 & Shidenkai not so much.
I plan on trying more Artisan pads in the future to see what I prefer, most notably a Hien, Raiden, then a Zero mid. As for my current pad - Key83, so far I like it the best, I perform the best on it out of the 3, and I like the consistency, its great, although I do wonder if faster would be better still, I do want to see how far I can take it as a former glass player. But for now it's my main, and still a great 5/5 pad regardless.
If you wish to contact me about anything the email I used for my orders is [****], but my business email is [****], I'm starting to get into gaming gear review content (mice, pads, etc) so if I cover my experience it'll be mostly positive. Thank you for the great customer service
